Hi, I'm Jodi Knapp — a health researcher, former clinician, and author. I'm also one of the five co-founders of Blue Heron Health News.

Back in 2008, Christian Goodman, Shelly Manning, Scott Davis, Julissa Clay and I came together around the same quiet frustration. We had each built private practices we loved — and each of us had hit the same wall. We could only help a handful of people at a time. Blue Heron was our answer: a way to finally reach the people who needed us, no matter where in the world they lived.

My own path into this work started at home. I watched my mother struggle with Type 2 diabetes for years, and later watched my best friend Jane slowly come back to life after years of misdiagnosed hypothyroidism. Over and over, I saw people I loved being handed a prescription for a problem that actually lived deeper — in the gut, in the nervous system, in the slow fire of chronic inflammation. That's what pushed me to formally study nutrition and build a career around it.

For years I ran my own clinic, sitting across from patients and watching how their bodies responded to careful changes in food, supplements, sleep, and stress. Eventually I closed the clinic so I could put everything I had learned — and everything I kept learning from conferences, journals, and colleagues around the world — into programs anyone could follow from their own living room.

Today I'm the author of five of those programs: The 3-Step Diabetes Strategy, The Hypothyroidism Solution, Neuropathy No More, The Parkinson's Protocol, and The Multiple Sclerosis Solution.

Each one is built on the same belief. Conventional medicine is good at managing symptoms, and I have never asked a reader to abandon their doctor. My work simply starts one layer deeper — with the inflammation, the toxins, the missing nutrients, and the small daily imbalances that add up over a lifetime.
