Sleep Apnea’s Hidden Death RiskYou probably know that sleep apnea is linked to heart disease, diabetes, and poor health.

But, a new study in The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry reveals even deadlier consequences of sleep apnea.

You must address this immediately if you have any of the symptoms described in today’s article.

Because this hidden consequence can increase a specific death risk by terrifying 300%.

A team of scientists analyzed data from 11,917 adults aged 40 and older using the STOP-Bang questionnaire, identifying individuals at risk for sleep apnea.

They then compared people with moderate-to-high sleep apnea risk to those with a low risk to see if there was a connection to suicide risk.

The results were alarming:

Sleep Apnea & Poor Health: Those with a STOP-Bang score of three or more were more likely to report poor health, chronic stress, and depression.

Suicidal Thoughts Doubled: Higher-risk individuals were twice as likely to experience suicidal thoughts (2.5% vs 1.1%).

More Suicide Planning: 1.8% of those at high risk planned suicide compared to 1.2% in the low-risk group.

Suicide Attempts Skyrocketed: Actual suicide attempts were five times more common in the high-risk sleep apnea group (0.5% vs 0.1%).

Adjusted Suicide Risk: After controlling for other factors, those with sleep apnea risk were 42% more likely to have suicidal thoughts, 21% more likely to make suicide plans, and three times more likely to attempt suicide.

This means that if you have undiagnosed sleep apnea, your mental health could be at serious risk.

Fortunately, it’s quite easy to eliminate both sleep apnea and snoring (and boost your mood at the same time). Thousands of readers have done that (sometimes the very first night) using simple, 3-minute throat exercises found here…
