A new study out of America’s Heartland has shown that by simply increasing the intake of ONE needed vitamin, type 2 diabetes can be reversed without having to resort to dangerous prescription drugs.
Researchers out of the University of Missouri were even more surprised at the findings when they discovered this vitamin worked just as well for participants who were overweight and obese and didn’t lose weight.
So what is this powerful vitamin?
The research team found encouraging evidence to suggest that even when body weight and Body Mass Index are unchanged, simply adding vitamin D supplement to the diet can not only prevent type 2 diabetes from developing, but it also can reverse it if it has already appeared.
Looking at blood levels of vitamin D in participants, the team found that people who are overweight and obese tend to have deficiencies in this very critical vitamin. Adding it as a simple supplement was shown in the study to be critical in reversing type 2 diabetes, even when weight was unchanged.
For many patients, conventional treatment has always pointed to weight loss as the key factor in reversing or preventing the disease, but that never took into account the people who are of normal weight or those who are underweight who still develop diabetes.
While cutting weight for those who are obese is a good idea for many other health reasons, the University of Missouri study highlights the need to focus on nutrient supplementation as a critical first step in treatment, instead of running straight to the prescription pad.
This is more proof that type 2 diabetes can be completely cured without medications and even without losing weight.

How many thousand IU a day do you recommend?
What kind of Vitamin D? D3, for instance?? There are several kinds of Vitamin D. And how many IU’s? Thank you..
Where can we see the details of the study? What's the optimum range of Vit D in blood test? What was the dossage used? Was is dry or liquid form of Vit D3?
Is the early sun exposure not enough for Vit. D?
I have tried it. It works to some degree and indeed may be a solution. On another person it did not cure it, but help control it only. But one needed to still be very careful with diet.
I TOO AM LOOKING FOR MORE DETAILS. WHY DON'T INFORM US FULLY ABOUT THE BDOZE AND ETC. THANKS IN ADVANCE IF YOU ANSWER
Sunlight does not always do it. I have receptors turned right down and have to supplement. The reason is probably because I was brought up in Kenya and my body systems set vit D receptors to low.
You can get a blood test for just 38GBP.
I have similar questions to Debbie (April 8,2013, 8.35am). We need more specific details or else the information is of little real value.
Of course Vitamin D is one of the most missed out but important vitamins today not only here in Australia but around the Western World as well. One of the reasons in Australia is due mainly because of a government initiative where being out in the Sun was considered dangerous and Sun Protection was made a 100% priority and the reasoning was Skin Cancer being a number one killer.
So many people took this information on board that it has had a negative reaction, inasmuch a deficiency of Vitamin D is now a big factor and a new initiative has been announced to counteract this, so Vitamin D supplements are being pushed as a priority message.
There is of course another ingredient to combat Diabetes, that is also missed by so many and that is a very common spice “CINNAMON”.
It would take too long for me to sit here and explain how, why and where, so I would suggest have a look on the NET, there is a plethora of information to be gleaned there.
So, have a look and educate yourself and above all say good bye to the dreaded Diabetes……….?
Sunlight cannot supply the needs of humans these days, for vit. D3. FDA requirements are too low to help too! Just like our government to drop the bag on our optimal health needs! My D3 level was at 7! They are now, around 30. My Dr. wants it to be closer to 100! He wants me to take 5000 units a day, which is common from most doctors who are in the know. I do take about 1200 several times a week. our soil no longer provides enough essential vitamins or nutrients for our foods; ie, the development of low body levels of many essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, such as D3, magnesium, Vit.C, manganese, and many more. Each individual needs to become their “own” doctor, researcher, and provider, since our government and big pharma are only interested in the big “buck”! I find Blue Heron closely related to the truth of the matter! No nonsense great reporting, and more truth than you will find in doctors, pharmacies, and FDA/Government Agencies! I also do additional research, much of the time. I have one good doctor who agrees with a lot of my finds. Good work, Jodi Knapp, we are always going to want “all” of numbers, you know that! georgia
How, where and when can we get details of usage of this for us to get effective result.
That's what I thought so too but from what I've read, the ideal time to get sun exposure is 10AM-2PM from 20 mins. to even an hour if you have darker skin tone. It is during this time that the sun's UVB ray is at its peak. However, a lot of Filipinos especially women, obsessed by having white complexion avoid the sun so as not to darken their skin. To avoid sunburn, apply virgin coconut oil.
I had a discussion about walking under the sun after 10.00 AM..He did not approve of it as according to him its carcinogenic..He suggested to have a walk at sunrise or sunset times, because the sun rays are reflected at these times…Shall like to know more of it as I have a vitamin D deficiency..
I meant that I had a discussion with my physician.
Hi all. Can anyone tell me exactly the symptoms of Type 2 D? I was diagnosed hypoglycemic years ago and at 76 now I don't have the severe reactions but wondering if type 2 is developing and causing the low energy and tiredness. My MD said hypoglycemia is the precursor to Diabetes.
I just want to add that I have had good effects on heart arrhythmia from taking extra magnesium. latest research suggests lots of magnesium especially for the heart. any added comments on this appreciated.
I took mega doses of Vit D3 for back pain and it really helped. BUT…my next MRI showed I had grown BONE SPURS IN MY SPINE. SOOO who and what can you trust?
Just saying……….I am doing HOMEOPATHIC DROPS to try to decrease the size of the horrible painful bone spurs!! Was it the VIT D3? Or what?
A word of caution about this particular vitamin, Vitamin D in any form “Overdosed”, “Can Be Toxic”, therefore one should always consult with your “local Health Practitioner” who as a qualified practitioner, will be able to recommend the correct dose and strategy to combat Vitamin D deficiency.
I have been taking 1/2 teaspoon of cinammon with one ounce of Goji juice for seven years. I don’t know whether my diabetes type 2 is cured but its under control. My blood sugar reading last was at 104, and I eat cake, and pie as I did prior to being diagnosed. I also take one 500mcg tablet of Chromium Picolinate daily. No sugar by itself or on cereal and other foods.
To Krishna,
Your doctor is wrong. You need the sun’s benefits.
To absorb vitamin d from sunlight you have to be out in the sun in the middle of the day.
When the sun is at a low angle the relevant rays are blocked by the atmosphere.
This is a big problem in high latitude winters because the sun never gets to the 55 degree altitude.
Vitamin D and Cinnamon, away with medication and diet. Have been controlling my diabetes with these two occasionally, must try it full time.Thanks.
I’ve been taking vitamin D3 for years and have had my blood levels checked regularly too but it didn’t cure or reverse my type 2 diabetes. I have more than the normal level of vitamin D3 in my blood around 90 nL…
I've been using fish oil pills Is it enough to provide the body with vitamin D.
Roland…76 is not old but you have used up a fair bit of space..sounds like Lipten deficiency..low carb and moderate protein regime over time will reverse the tendency
Vit D3 will not completely reverse the symptoms of Type2 diabetis but used in conjunction with a low carb. moderate protein totally excluding GLUTEN if possible regime may help…keep your saturated fats prominent, exercise and plenty of water,
Vitamin a cream
