Natural health experts have known for decades how powerful this particular vitamin is to battle high blood pressure.
The big pharmaceutical companies have, however, used endless resources and influence to trash any study that showed positive effects from this essential vitamin.
Research recently published on the online science journal PLOS One, however, revealed something natural health and blood pressure researchers have been searching for- conclusive proof that high blood pressure is caused (and cured) by this one vitamin.
Research on mice recently looked at the connection between high blood pressure and vitamin D. In the 2-part study, 4 groups of mice were given specific diets.
In one part of the study, the mice were given vitamin D-deficient and vitamin D-sufficient diets. In the second part of the study, they were further divided between a high fat or low fat diet.
This resulted in the 4 groups: Vitamin D-deficient, high-fat; vitamin D deficient, low-fat; vitamin D-sufficient, high-fat; and vitamin D sufficient, low fat.
What the researchers found was that for mice that were in the vitamin D-deficient groups- both high-and-low-fat diet, mice developed high blood pressure. It didn’t matter if the diet was high or low fat- they all became hypertensive.
The mice who were on high- and low-fat diets but were vitamin D-sufficient did not become hypertensive.
What’s more, when the hypertensive mice from the deficient group then received sufficient levels of vitamin D, their blood pressure stabilized and they no longer showed signs of high blood pressure.
Before the study, all researchers had to go on was correlative studies that were criticized by pharmaceutical groups as not having irrefutable proof; this study ends the debate.
But humans are a little bit more complicated than mice. And although taking vitamin D will help manage high blood pressure, it may not be enough.
Vitamin D also lowers the risk of Diabet 2
Hello Blue Heron
I take 3,000 international units of vitamin D3 per day. This is 75 micrograms. Is this “sufficient”?
I am in UK so US units might be different.
Best wishes
This is interesting. However, may I know the difference between vitamins D and D3.
disappointed once again no amts given, also is Vit D different from D3. am taking 6,000 units/day and bottle states 2,000 is 500% of daily requirement so……… feel you are just printing this stuff and not ck’ing into the articles.
The official RDA for vitamin D is ridiculous. My dentist identified the cause of my gum problem as vitamin D deficiency and the drop he prescribes are 4,000IU. I would say 8,000 is the upper limit as too much Vitamin D can be as bad as too much. Easiest way to check is go to Medichecks and spend £40 on a saliva test.
This needs to be tried but one who is on medicines for keeping the high b.p under control how can one try this because one cant take risk to try vit D in the absence of the medicine to check its effectiveness
Not a comment but a question really. Is it Vitamin D in milk or a supplement of vitamin D in pill form that works better?
emulsified Vit D3 is the best supplement.
sounds great ill try it
I would be interested in these three exercises that you constantly mention in every post. But, I gave up on your video where you went on and on and on about Big Pharma, etc. and after 10-15 minutes you still hadn't come close to showing these three exercises. Too much of a huge waste of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
