As is often the case with a self-fulfilling prophecy, attitude and perspective can make or break your ability to get high blood pressure under control.
Now there is proof that the way your mind views your circumstances has a direct impact on your body’s health, according to researchers at Inserm in Villejuif, France.
But it’s probably in a completely different way that you think!
If you feel like you are under a lot of stress, and that the stress you are under is making you sick, you are right, according to Hermann Nabi, lead author of a study published recently that looked at stress and heart disease.
[adrotate group=”5″]Not only that, but how much a participant focused on the perceived stress had a direct impact on how high his or her blood pressure would elevate.
Looking at health data and following civil servants in Europe over many years, researchers were able to prove that the stress people suffer as it relates to job, family, or any other factor directly contributes to cardiovascular diseases such as high blood pressure and heart disease.
The better controlled the stress levels were, the better off the participants fared in their physical health.
Not only that, but people who were reportedly the most acutely aware of their stress levels and who believed that their stress was making them sick were frequently the sickest.
Those with a sunnier outlook and more positive perspective fared better in health measurements over the course of the study, underscoring the mind/body connection.

Annamaria, Google the Indian herbal formula called Mukta Vati. It is said to actually get to the root cause of high BP and cure it without prescription meds.
If you watch old films or read old books , you can always notice people saying to an older busy man, “now watch your blood pressure, mr. buckle belt You must calm down. Doctor’s orders!” These men may only be forty or forty five but it is already a dangerous age in old movies.
