Cancers of the esophagus, throat and vocal cords have a specific enemy in common:
Acid reflux.
Doctors have known for some time that leaving acid reflux untreated can lead to esophageal cancer, but the relationship with the upper throat and vocal cords was unclear…until now.
The good news is that acid reflux can be permanently cured without pills or medical procedures. Actually, in as little as 5 minutes.
Dr. Scott M. Langevin, a postdoctoral at Brown University in Providence, R.I. recently conducted a study revealing that the constant insult of gastric acid washing up into the esophagus does more harm than just causing discomfort. Gastric Esophageal Reflux Disease, or GERD, puts a person at risk of several cancers if left untreated.
[adrotate group=”5″]Cancers of the esophagus, throat, vocal cords, and even some in the head have all been traced to a specific independent factor, being chronic, untreated GERD.
The problem starts in a variety of ways. The stomach can produce far too much acid, a loose sphincter at the base of the esophagus leading into the stomach allows acid to wash up, or a hiatal hernia displaces part of the sphincter.
The pain is distinctive, and the constant presence of acid on esophageal tissue leads first to erosive esophagitis, which is a burning and inflammation of the esophagus. Then, if left untreated, a person develops Barrett’s Esophagus, where the esophagus develops a lining similar to that of the stomach as a defense to the acid exposure.
Finally, cancer starts in the affected areas.
For those who have severe GERD, reports of mouthfuls of acid are not uncommon. For stomach acid to present this high up in the digestive tract, doctors considered what effect it would have on the mouth, tongue, jaw, vocal cords and throat.
What researchers found was an overwhelmingly high incidence of GERD in patients who have or had any of these types of cancer.
The great news is that Acid reflux and GERD can be completely healed without the use of medications. I used to suffer a horrible case of acid reflux, but after discovering ONE simple home remedy, it’s the problem of the past.
It's a mechanical problem fixed with an operation.
