A new study in Fertility and Sterility clarifies things by revealing one thing that most ED-sufferers have in common.

A team of American researchers studied 1,919 men aged 18 to 50 undergoing fertility evaluations.
Each participant completed surveys about sleep quality, sexual health, and overall quality of life.
The researchers were investigating. Does poor sleep cause sex problems?
They categorize participants into four categories of sleep disturbance:

- normal,
- mild,
- moderate,
- severe
Another survey assessed various aspects of sexual function, including libido, orgasm, ejaculatory issues, and erectile function.
Results:

1. Sleep Disturbances Are Common: About 7.7% of the men reported mild sleep issues, while 4.4% experienced moderate to severe disturbances.
2. Lower Libido: Men with mild to severe sleep issues were likelier to have low libido (20.7%) than those with normal sleep (13.8%).
3. Ejaculatory Dysfunction: 31.3% of men with sleep issues reported ejaculatory dysfunction versus 19.9% of those with normal sleep.
4. Orgasmic Issues: 15.3% of men with disturbed sleep had trouble with orgasms, compared to only 5.1% among men with normal sleep.
5. Higher Rates of ED Treatment: 28.3% of men with sleep disturbances sought treatment for ED, while only 17.8% of men without sleep issues did the same.
6. Lower Rates of ED-Free Men: 43% of men with mild to severe sleep issues had signs of ED, compared to 29% of those with normal sleep.
These findings show just how closely sleep and sexual health are connected. If you’ve noticed sleep issues creeping into your life, now’s the time to prioritize your rest before it takes a toll on your sex life.
