Gout Relief Through One Simple Diet ChangeGout is one of the most painful forms of arthritis, often linked to lifestyle and diet. But how can you eat to reduce its severity?

A new study published in the European Medical Journal offers a clear answer.

Using simple diet changes, people lowered their uric acid levels and drastically reduced pain and flares.

In the DIEGO (Diet for gout treatment) trial, researchers studied 36 adults with gout and abdominal obesity who weren’t on medications.

Participants were split into two groups:

Test Group: Followed a plant-focused diet, avoiding animal products and processed foods, with dietitian counseling for 16 weeks.

Control Group: Received generic advice about eating healthier and exercising.

The test group focused on:

• Vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds.
• Healthy fats like olive oil and avocado.
• Avoiding red meat, sugary snacks, and processed foods.

Over 16 weeks, the test group experienced significant improvements:

Lower Uric Acid: A primary mechanism for reducing gout severity.
Pain Reduction: Gout pain and flare severity improved by two points on average.
Shorter Flares: While both groups had similar flare frequencies, the test group reported shorter and less painful episodes.
Better Heart Health: LDL cholesterol dropped, waistlines shrank, and participants lost more weight.
Safe and Side-Effect Free: No serious side effects were reported.

This is yet another proof that diet changes can significantly, even completely, reverse gout.

In fact, thousands of readers have already completely rid themselves of all gout symptoms using a much less dramatic diet than used in this study. You can do the same here…
