Having the wrong foreskin length can seriously impact ED – we’re talking 31%.
And PE? 37%
This is according to a new study in the Asian Journal of Andrology.
More than 5,700 participants at The First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China underwent evaluations for sexual dysfunction using widely recognized questionnaires.
These included the International Index of Erectile Function-5 to assess erectile issues and the Premature Ejaculation Diagnostic Tool to evaluate ejaculation control.
The researchers also measured the foreskin length of each participant, defining redundant foreskin as extending more than one centimeter (0.4 inches) beyond the tip of the penis.
The results of the study revealed a clear connection between redundant foreskin and these two forms of sexual dysfunction.
-
1. Those with redundant foreskin were 31% more likely to have moderate or severe erectile dysfunction (ED).
2. Redundant foreskin increased participants’ risk of moderate premature ejection (PE) by 38% and of probable PE by 37%.
3. These relationships held true whether or not participants smoked, were old, were overweight, consumed alcohol, were educated, had chronic diseases, or had urogenital infections.
