This plant treats Chronic BronchitisThere is no effective modern medical treatment for chronic bronchitis. And the treatment options available are riddled with side effects.

So let’s look back… thousands of years back.

A new study published in SSRN Preprints reveals a plant used for millennials in Chinese medicine that is more effective than modern medicine.

Rhododendron przewalskii has been traditionally used in western China to treat respiratory issues. Previous studies have shown that this plant contains high levels of flavonoids, which are known for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

This prompted the authors of this study to dig deeper into the molecular mechanisms behind its therapeutic effects.

They conducted a thorough investigation using both live models and cell cultures to understand how RPEA works.

The team started by preparing various extracts from the plant and identified the ethyl acetate extract as the most potent.

They used two models: a chronic bronchitis model induced by cigarette smoke in mice and an inflammatory model using LPS-induced RAW 264.7 lung cells in the laboratory.

They then used a wide variety of molecular techniques to uncover the specific actions of this plant extract, including proteomics, q-PCR, Western blot, ELISA, and molecular docking.

The results of the study were impressive. Here are the highlights:

1. The extract showed significant anti-inflammatory effects in both mice and in cell models.

2. The extract significantly lowered levels of TNF-alpha, IL-1beta, and IL-6, which are markers of inflammation.

3. The positive effects of the plant increased with higher doses.

4. The plant extract decreased levels of MDA and ROS, both of which are indicators of oxidative stress.

5. 340 proteins were affected by the treatment. Key proteins in the TRAF6 and NF-Kappa-B pathways were particularly impacted in ways that prevented inflammation.

This means that the ethyl acetate extract of Rhododendron przewalskii shows good potential in treating chronic bronchitis by inhibiting inflammation and oxidative stress. In other words, traditional Chinese medicine might be onto something with its centuries-old treatment for lung conditions.

Unfortunately, this plant extract is not available for purchase outside some Asian countries. And since Rhododendron plants are known to be somewhat toxic, American and European regulators will probably want a substantial amount of testing done before they authorize it for use.

The most important thing is that this study proves that chronic bronchitis can be healed using natural methods. And thousands of readers have already completely rid themselves of chronic bronchitis using the simple lifestyle changes explained here…
