Arthritis is a big business worldwide. In Canada, it is estimated that over 300,000 people are affected. In the US, however, it is over 1.5 million.
Drugs are continually being developed to “battle” the disease, but there is increasing backlash against the life sentence of having to take drugs forever to find relief.
For hundreds of thousands of arthritis sufferers, available drugs do not work. Or if they do, they come with horrendous side effects.
A new treatment possibility tested in Denmark may be the answer for a drug-free, simple treatment, though.
Many studies have been done to expose the risks associated with many of the most commonly prescribed rheumatoid arthritis (RA) drugs. These side effects, coupled with the allergy potential they pose, leave many people who can’t or won’t take the medicines needing a viable, safe, drug-free alternative.
Researchers in Denmark, looking at bioelectronics, think they may have found the answer.
A new device, activated by a magnet, is surgically placed in the RA sufferer’s neck, where it rests adjacent to a nerve. When activated by an external magnet, the device interrupts the inflammatory process by stopping the stimulus that causes the immune system to engage and attack.
This is similar to how RA drugs work, only it seems to eliminate the collateral damage caused by the drugs since the device doesn’t seem to affect other systems or processes in the body.
However, because the device and its application are so new, doctors are quick to point out that long-term studies looking at any effects of the device have yet to be seen, and trials will have to endure over at least the next ten years before it’s ready to be marketed. As well, the device only worked to relive pain for just over half the study participants…not all of them.
Still, when trying to avoid medications in treating the frustrating and painful RA, it is worth it to many to at least try.
Eliminating inflammation is the answer that most everyone can agree on, regardless of whether you are a believer in ancient, drug-free techniques or are a fan of Western Medicine.
If the former is your preference, and you are looking for a safe, drug-free alternative now, don’t wait ten years for a device that may or may not stand the test of time. Find out here how I completely eliminated my painful arthritis naturally, in less than a month…
there is another dietary treatmrent that has been known to cure eliminate arthritis. I used this method after developing arthritis and both my hands after taking metformin. Turns out according to WebMD there is a correlation between taking metformin and developing arthritis.I tried the method that I found in a New York Times article by Suzanne Meadows and an article about her boy who had developed arthritis I believe the article was called the boy with a thorn in his joints.it involves drinking tart cherry juice to reduce the inflammation, taking probiotics to heal the gut, avoiding large amounts of sugar and dairy for period. Of time. the stiffness and pain that I had and suffering considerably after approximately 2 months and eventually left me entirely after a year. I was not very very diligent if I hadn't been there would have been possibly eliminated a lot sooner.o in addition I took an amino acid called l glutamine it works too heal the gut. Turns out a lot of autoimmune diseases are caused when the gut is harmed and holes are poked in it and so far material that should go into the toilet enters the body. It works for me I think it could work for so many others. If you find the article and read it you will see that there were hundreds of comments many of them having arthritis and employing the same method or same type of methods and eventually healing the arthritis that they were suffering from. This article is so right about one thing medication synthetic drugs cause horrible side effects. The authors son was on metal proxy a drug known to treat cancer patients. s
Spelling of common arthritis drug misspelled. Should be..methrotrate? ??
A nice breakthrough
Karen:
Are you sure you are referring to Metformin, the drug used to control Blood Glucose? I have had Arthritis for several years and more recently have been on Metformin to control my BG levels. And coincidentally, my Arthritis seems to be getting worse (at times) or maybe I am just reading into it what your comment states. Where on WebMD does it make the correlation? I need to see the science behind this kind of statement.
yes Murry I am certain that’s what I read. Google arthritis and metformin. That’s how I found the information.medPage stated that the arthritis is usually developed within five years of taking the metformin. I developed it within 6 months and I have another friend who is also taking metformin and that causes intestinal problems can cause a situation like leaky gut.
arthritis can be cured please please please read that article I refer to in the New York Times. Also please be aware that the guidelines / thresholds forward to defining diseases keeps getting lower and lower. I read recently on med page.com that for type 1 they were happy if they could get the a1c below 9.1.
Murray. ..most likely your doctor has also put you on heart medicine for instance blood pressure medicine and cholesterol medicine. Try to get yourself off of these medicines because these medicines denature body in a manner that causes your blood sugar to go up higher. I was originally on a blood pressure medication my fasting blood sugar was 91 I took it religiously cuz my doctor insisted I was a ticking time bomb for a stroke. I believe my blood pressure at the time was 155 however she did not take into consideration that I was taking cold medications which raises blood pressure. Approximately 6 months later my fasting blood sugar was around 393. I did a lot of research and found that it’s been known since the fifties the blood pressure medication raises blood sugar my a1c at the time was 16.5. I took the metformin my doctor wanted me to come in and take more medicine I declined because I was beginning to discover some not so good facts about our medical industry. I kept forgetting to take the high blood pressure medication they gave me and my blood sugar fell hundreds of points. I discontinue taking the metformin and they fI don’t know where I’m at on this goodnessell a little bit more
MURRAY. ..the last part of my last message I got frustrated because I lost my place. Please disregard those last few lines I was swearing at the phone.
