What if we told you that half of what you’ve been told about this so-called unhealthy fat is plain wrong?
What if new research has shattered the grand myth about this fat?
Huh. Interesting. Would you want to know more?
A massive study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine makes a simple yet startling statement – Saturated fat does not cause heart disease. This shatters the age old belief that it is this type of unhealthy fat that is the root cause of all evils related to heart problems.
Time and again, people have been advised to give up food rich in saturated fats like butter, cheese and red meat and swap it for other options like chicken or canola oil. This erroneous idea can partly be due to the famous Keyes study conducted in the 1950s that is often considered a massive, benchmark study on dietary habits. However, not many people are aware that the study is not only biased because it chose specific countries instead of random study and also includes wrong and insufficient data. The study did not consider France for the study. It must be noted that people here have reasonable good heart health even though omelets and cheeses that are rich in saturated fat is a regular staple of their diet.
Owing to this study and other unreliable and limited sight studies, our intake of saturated fat has decreased by 11 percent while carbohydrate intake has increased by up to 25 percent.
As we know, replacing fats with more carbohydrates like pasta, potatoes and grains is not really the solution. If anything, it can, over time, cause an elevation in blood sugar level and deprive the body of fats that are necessary for burning fuel.
While the study does not encourage everyone to completely transform their diets to include saturated fats, it does show that there is no harm in including them occasionally instead of completely avoiding them.
I really don’t believe anything the government propaganda tells me about health. Instead I read reliable sources like Blue Heron Health News and other good websites and books. Amazing how misleading the “official information” can be.
I think the low fat this and low fat that push has been one of the worst health disaster in history. If you consume low desert for example, you must use more sugar to make up for the sweetness. And sugar is so much worse than fat.
Nice add to taste
Your web sight defeats your purpose. I have a Mac, 15 yrs old and am absolutely anti
Face Book and all that stuff, not trusting that any more than official media information on health, alll Biig Brother manipulative controlled info, all the same.
Your web sight offers incredible info which I try and try again to get. Not like other super good sights, that are designed to get info across, yours is obsolete; invest in someone who knows how to get from point a to point be with out the garbage of retoric that is imbecilic, pages of useless words, then the damn video business, Just give it and say it in one fell swoop, no face book, just say it right there. I would send all this to my eager friends yearning for this info without paying their intelligence to get it.
that's the problem of health news advisory, too many researches and only now they discovered the truth.
