Most people would generally agree that most sentences linking arthritis to cancer would not be positive.
However, according to new research, it actually can be.
Researchers at Georgetown University have discovered a link between two otherwise unrelated diseases recently.
In their study, the scientists looked at a specific protein that acts as glue that not only holds cancer cells together, but also plays a role in rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
The protein is called cadherin-11, and researchers have found that the same agents that tackle the glue in one disease can actually affect it in another.
Doctors noted that while some drugs for RA help undo cadherin-11, the amounts needed to be effective against tumors would be too toxic.
Researchers are also looking at why the body develops excessive cadherin-11 in the first place, and are finding that reducing inflammation seems to prevent its formation.
Eliminate cadherin-11, and potentially eliminate RA and many tumor-related cancers. Therefore, if we find a way to improve one, we can improve the other.
The best news is that following a few simple steps, you can actually eliminate arthritis – completely naturally, without medications.
