A Harvard study of over 70,000 partocipants found a link between heart disease and this common practice.
The great news is that for once it isn’t linked to what we eat or drink.
What else could increase heart attack risk by almost 65 percent?
Are you highly productive at work? If you are in an office environment, that could be bad news for your heart.
Many of us who work hard in front of a computer or desk job also lead a sedentary lifestyle, rarely getting up and moving.
Given that we spend between 8-10 hours at work each day, this sedentary lifestyle adds up in risk factors for heart disease.
A Harvard study involving over 70,000 women found that those who sat for more than 10 hours a day had almost 65 percent greater chance of heart attack or stroke , versus their healthy counterparts who sat less than 5 hours per day.
The main reason for this was that those women sitting longer also developed high blood pressure and high cholesterol level.
Is the solution to quit your job? Obviously, that solution could bring about its own stress and health issues.
Or check out this step-by-step plan designed to bring your cholesterol level down to normal in 30 days or less…
I had high blood pressure and was on medication for it. I started eating healthy, lots of high fiber and lots of veggies and fruit. I stopped caffeign and fatty foods. I also started a regular excercise routine with a lot of activity that kept me out of the chair most of the day. My blood pressure is like 115/65 to a21/70, my collestral is 129. I was on acid reflux meds. and now I have no heart burn. I am Med. free and I have lots of energy, I feel great.

This is for Alberto Romero,
Hello Alberto,
My goodness what a cocktail of medications!!! I understand why you need to take most of these med’s!!! but some of them have me wondering? Does your Doctor know that you are taking all these extra things? You have to be so careful that some of these are not reacting with your other Med’s! One of the things you are taking has me intrigued why are you having Lemonade with a 1/4 of a teaspoonful of baking soda? Is it for reflux, heart burn? or is it for the acid mantel in your stomach? You know with taking lemon juice, it may be an acid in itself, but once it hits the stomach it acts as an alkaliser!
So instead of the lemonade and baking soda have a squeeze of lemon juice in water first thing in the morning, cut your vitamin C down to 250mg unless your Doctor has told you otherwise, your having way too much because you are getting a lot of vitamin C with the other vitamins you are taking and your special drinks and foods you may eat during the day.
You have me also concerned that you say you take all your tablets at night before bed only take the one’s your Doctor has told you to take have everything else with your meals during the day so you won’t get reflux or heart burn during the night especially garlic thats a great heart burner ouch!!! LOl :0)
Alberto as long as you have your 8 glass’ of water a day thats counting cups of tea, (coffee acts as a diuretic so keep to a minimum) No fizzy Pop! Oh well you can have the odd one!!! and Eat a well balanced diet with nuts and grains veggies,( fruit) two pieces a day yes you can have that! eggs and protein all natural whole foods with no nasty additives caking agents preservatives unless their natural!!! As my Grandmother use to say everything in moderation and everything natural!!!
Alberto one last thing you are worrying about being too sedentary There are little excises you can do while you are sitting in your chair just keep moving your feet up and down and you are walking around your house or down to the general store if you are able to do that! Thats good enough don’t do anything too strenuous and if you have any worry’s go and see your Doctor.
Alberto I hope this helps you and not to worry too much I think your doing pretty well!
As long as we have family and good friends Love, and where still moving what more can a person ask for. X From a person who cares. God bless you!
Dear Alberto,
I am sure you are a Christian or you will not be around by now. If you are, I thank god for you and your being positive is encouraging. Keep it up, but do listen to what others suggest as reducing some of those medications.I will continue to pray for you. Good luck to you and take care.
felicia.
