What if we told you that one specific type of cooking oil could save you from serious health conditions like high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes?
And this time we are not talking about much praised Olive oil.
Recent researches done on this amazing oil proves that it is so powerful, it could replace many of the prescription drugs sitting in your medicine cabinet.
And most likely, you have walked pass this oil in your local supermarket a hundreds of times.
Two studies conducted by researchers from Annamalai University in India revealed that Sesame oil has both the outstanding ability to cut down high blood pressure and help those suffering with type 2 diabetes.
[adrotate group=”5″]The research included 328 individuals suffering with high blood pressure. All participants were taking blood pressure lowering medication, but it wasn’t enough to bring it down to a healthy level.
Participants were asked to switch their regular cooking oil to Sesame seed oil for a period of 60 days.
Already after the third week of experiment their blood pressure was drastically reduced.
And after 60 days of using Sesame seed oil both the average systolic and diastolic blood pressure levels were completely cut down to normal.
Researchers conclude that the amazing ability of Sesame seed oil to lower blood pressure lies in the powerful ingredients it contains.
It is loaded with potent antioxidants sesamin, sesamol and lignants. It is also rich in vitamin E, Calcium, iron and Magnesium.
Sesame seed oil contains mono- and polyunsaturated acids the healthy fatty acids crucial to cardiovascular health.
The potential to also improve the condition of type 2 diabetes is proven in another study conducted by the same Indian researchers.
In this open label study 60 participants suffering from type 2 diabetes were divided into three groups. One group was asked to consume 35 g of Sesame oil daily. The other group was instructed to take 35g of Sesame oil together with 5 g of diabetic drug glibenclamide. The third group was taking the drug alone.
After only 60 days, blood glucose levels were significantly decreased in both groups taking Sesame seed oil. The activity of enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants was also dramatically improved in both groups taking Sesame seed oil alone and Sesame oil with glibenclamide drug.
Furthermore, levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides were considerably lessened in both Sesame seed oil taking groups.
Sesame seed oil can be easily found in most of the supermarkets and the health food stores, throughout the world. (I recommend cold pressed, unrefined and organic Sesame seed oil, if possible. )
These amazing health benefits of Sesame seed oil can be achieved by simply replacing it with your regular cooking oil. And although these studies didn’t research this, I’m sure that Sesame seeds are extremely beneficial too.
Switching to Sesame may however not be enough to completely heal high blood pressure, high cholesterol or type 2 diabetes. For more information on that…

Decades ago, seed of Sesame was a daily food companion; fell off that wagon because of some *bad press*. However, overall Tune o’Health was sweet. MerciBouquets for reminder!
Dear Dan,
Both oils, extra virgin Olive oil and Sesame seed oil have amazing health properties.
If you prefer, you can use them simultaneously, there is no danger in that.
to Barbara:
Grape seed oil has a long list of health benefits as well, however it is extremely high in Omega 6 polyunsaturated fats.
Also, as the Grape seed oil is extracted from seeds of the grapes it requires more complicated process to produce it. That is why it is usually more expensive than other oils on the market.
You can try to mix Sesame oil with some other oil to make it taste smoother.

Just switching your regular cooking oil to Sesame oil “does the job “.
But you can also take a recommended dosage of 35g daily. It is about 2.5
tablespoons.
Thank you so much for all that information you are sending me. I know how precious is sesame seed oil . I am from Greece and we use lots of sesame seed oil and olive oil. But i also eat tahini, which is the butter from sesame and lowers my blood pressure . I also make hummus with it.God Bless you!
Georgia Kovack
My parents generation used only seasamum seed oil known as gingelly oil in the south and Til oil in northern India. Then came the hydrogenated Dalda which was made from Cotton seed oil.
Now we have all other branded oils claiming superiority and their superiority is not only for their claimed effectiveness, but also for the unimaginably expensive cost. Let us get back to Ellu Ennai as it is called in Tamil Nadu also called Nalla Ennai GOOD OIL.
This is “great” news! My BP needs all the help it can get! If I could lower my BP, several other of my heart problems would be automatically helped, or cured, also! I do special breathing exercises, and have done so for many years. They help; but I have some extra problem with spiky high BP, that seems to resist all aids; breathing, supplements, medications, etc!
Thanks ever so much for this article. I will be to the grocery as soon as possible to get loads of sesame oil and tahimi! Thanks to Georgia kovack, too! also a Georgia, usually grumpy grumbling Georgia! Thank you Blue Heron and your heroic and diligent researcher/writers! I love ya!
This could be correct. I had diabetic 2, medium high, was told to take medicines daily for life, I refused as I am in principle against chemical medicines. Called a friend at the Erasmus Uni in Rotterdam the Netherlands in May 2012. He suggested to use cooking oil for my pancakes(my favored food special if filled with fruit) instead of a non-stick pan, In Nov.2012 Test did show diabetic 2 was gone.
Manchi Nooney as we Telugus of TamilNadu call it!Every six months allopathic folks change their views based on their own new findings.Ayurveda Says Ghee ,or clarified butterconsumed in small quantities wil ensure prevention of old-age arthritic problems. and Anuloma and Viloma Breathing technic will drive away all tyes of Diabetetes which we nurture with incresing doses of insulin products, very religiously!.
ik ook maar door het afvallen ben ik nu suikervrij ook dat helpt
I will try this! i’ll tell you my experience/s after-which . . .
My high blood pressure is caused by Pheochromocytoma which is a tumor above my left adrenal gland which was discovered by a scan will sesame oil help in this matter thank u
Thanks for this very informative article. Sesame oil – I am going to try this, soon. We often have to look at what is happening in other countries, especially the Mediterrian diets.
thanks for this information, I will give it a try.
Organic coconut oil does the same thing, only better. And you can even heat it to cook with as it is stable at cooking temps. Sesame oil is not.
It may be great, but honestly I have never seen it around here in any of the numerous grocery stores I’ve shopped in. So it may not be distributed as widely as you’re suggesting. There is a health food store here bit its location and hours have never been convenient for me.
If it has a strong flavor as well, many will reject it for that. We all know what rancid oil does for the taste of foods.
One finds here corn oil, canola oil, soybean oil, and (probably adulterated) extra virgin olive oil.
I appreciate very much that the information is being sent in article form rather than in audio form! I hope you will continue using this method. It is also very helpful to be able to print the article for further consult and share.Thank you very much. I will be to the grocery as soon as possible to get loads of sesame oil.
I chew 10 apricot Kernels per day (But I am not a cancer patient) and also use cold pressed Apricot Kernel oil. not only is it supposed to inhibit cancer cells from forming in your body
but it reportedly lowers blood pressure in some people.
I also personally know of two people who had terminal cancer and by building up their intake of apricot Kernels slowly over a week, to 30 Kernels per day IE: ten in the morning then ten at lunch then ten in the evening they have eliminated the cancer in their bodies.
there is a warning though. Apricot kernels contain cyanide, and one should not use more that 30 per day.
Governments are attempting to ban the use of these Kernels for human consumption.
My opinion is it is because it is so readily available Governments and Pharmaceuticle companies can’t make money from them. One of the Persons who has cured himself had terminal lung cancer and only weeks to live. he was coughing up blood.
He has reported now that he is cancer free after his last checkup with his doctors. The other man I know was supposed to be dead ten years ago and he is still cancer free.
He is also working full time as a builder.
He told me that once the cancer is gone you must continue taking 5 to 7 Apriot Kernels per day to prevent the cancer coming back.
IE; this maintains a level of B17 in your system.
I like the text "article" form also. I can get more out of re-reading it than I can trying to catch every word spoken. I too hope you will continue to use this method. Thanks June for this comment.
Capacities of sesame seed oil were established thousands of years back in Ayurveda Medical Science and that is why this oil is an integral part of many of the Ayurvedic health supplements. It would also soften skin and hence the practice of using sesame seed oil is there in South India for generations.
We are in Sri Lanka use coconut oil from generations to generations we do not find any harm in it. Because of the Marketing strategies people started using various kind of oils .Now we find lot of people from affluent class with Cholesterol -Diabetes and heart troubles. Now they are back to purified Coconut Oil

There is one more substance in sesame called saponin, which leeches on to cancerous cells, piggy backs on it and drives it out of our body via defecation or urination.
