This Simple Habit Reverses Brain AgingIt takes motivation to get this habit going. It takes 20-30 minutes. But after developing it, everyone agrees it feels SOOO GOOOOD!!!

What’s more, it’s extremely good for your overall health.

And most importantly, now scientists at the University of Miami and Columbia University have proven that it slows down and even reverses your brain’s aging.

In March 2016, the Journal of Neurology published a fascinating study that concluded that people who exercised experienced substantially less brain ageing compared to those who were physically less active.

The scientists asked 900 people with an average age of 71 to take standard tests of memory, attention, processing speed, and other mental skills.

Together with these, they answered questions about their exercise habits and underwent MRI scans to examine the physical structures of their brains.

Five years later, the participants were asked to repeat the mental skills tests so the researchers could compare the mental decline of those who exercised with those who were mostly sedentary.

Astonishingly, sedentary participants displayed at least 10 years of extra brain ageing compared with those who regularly engaged in moderately to highly strenuous aerobic exercise like jogging or running.

Curiously, those who regularly walked at a leisurely pace did no better than those who avoided exercise altogether, suggesting that only exercise that increases your heart rate significantly can slow your brain from ageing.

Hence, if your favorite form of exercise is a relaxing walk in the park, you may want to step it up to a jog.

The reason exercises are so good for you, is that they increase blood flow to the brain which promotes healthy brain cells and active connections between them.

The best results, however, lie in exercises – found here – that are specifically designed to boost your brain health and reverse dementia…
