New High Blood Pressure Gene DiscoveredResearchers at the University of Ottawa discovered that your genes do have a great influence on whether or not you develop high blood pressure.

But does this really mean you are somehow doomed to have high blood pressure and related conditions for the rest of your life, just because you were born with certain genes?

On November of 2015, the University of Ottawa posted an article about a new breakthrough concerning the link between our genes and high blood pressure.

A team of researchers identified that a gene called GATA5 is extremely important in regulating blood pressure. In fact, they observed that an absence of GATA5 is linked to increased blood pressure, vessel problems, and heart and kidney damage.

With this discovery of the link between genes and high blood pressure, another piece of the puzzle seems to be solved. But now what?

What does this mean for you and yours?

Members of a family do pass traits from one generation to another through genes. It’s heredity. It is not so surprising that genetic factors are play a role in high blood pressure, heart disease, and other related conditions.

But still, the risk for high blood pressure can increase with unhealthy lifestyle choices. These lifestyle choices are often influenced by your family habits even more than genetics.

It is up to you to step up, breaking the cycle once and for all!

And maybe the results of this study will help you do that… In 2012, the American Heart Association published the results of a study of more than 6,000 people.

About a third of them had high blood pressure running in the family. The study revealed that those who were physically fit were up to 34% less likely to develop high blood pressure than those who had a low-fitness level. They had the same high blood pressure genes but they broke the family-habits by staying fit.

So, keeping physically fit may lower your odds of developing high blood pressure by a third, even when you are genetically prone.

The good news is that light exercise is even more effective for high blood pressure than a heavy workout. So take 10 minutes walk a few times today and gain more blood pressure benefits than doing 60 minutes of intense aerobics three times a week.

In fact, the easiest exercises I know have also been proven the most effective. Here are the 3 easy blood pressure exercises that everyone can use to drastically improve their blood pressure – starting today…
