This Food Type Curbs Type 2 DiabetesScientists have just confirmed that there is a new type 2 diabetes treatment that can lower your blood glucose and improve blood insulin levels naturally.

It’s most likely already present in your fridge or no further away than your nearest supermarket.

Italian researchers published a report in the December 2015 edition of the FASEB Journal that showed that a common plant hormone controls both blood sugar and insulin levels in type 2 diabetics.

This hormone is called abscisic acid, and it is found in all greens.

The researchers conducted this study on both rats and humans, and the outcome was positive for both species.

They divided their human subjects into two groups. One received an abscisic acid extract with their breakfast and the other received a placebo.

The group that received the abscisic acid extract had a significantly lower glucose and better insulin levels than the groups that received the placebo.

The extract had little influence on non-diabetic subjects, but diabetic subjects benefited significantly.

The interesting thing in the study is that only tiny amounts of abscisic acid were enough. Each person was given between 0.5 and one µg (micrograms) per kilogram of body weight.

Scientists are currently not sure how abscisic acid achieves this, but when this study is combined with previous ones, it seems as if it stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin while simultaneously accelerating the body’s use of glucose for energy.

The main problem in diabetes is that consistently high blood sugar triggers the pancreas to release so much insulin that the body becomes resistant to it.

The more resistant your body becomes to the insulin, the more insulin your pancreas has to release to lower your blood glucose.

This is an important discovery, because most currently available diabetes treatments either increase your insulin levels to keep your blood sugar under control (insulin and sulfonylurea), or artificially decrease the amount of glucose produced by your liver (Metformin). The former promotes further insulin resistance in people who are already insulin resistant, and the latter causes digestive complaints and stomach upsets in most people who take it.

Abscisic acid neither artificially loads your body with excess insulin, nor artificially kills your blood glucose.

All that you have to do is to eat green plants, and you will be surprised how many options you have:
1. Traditional green vegetables are mostly leaves and flowers. These include artichokes, arugula, asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Chinese cabbage, collard greens, celery, endive, kale, leeks, lettuce, spinach, and watercress.

2. If you want starchy green vegetables, try zucchini (corvettes if you are British), okra, and chayote squash. (Yes, for the pedantic among you, these are technically fruits.)

3. A category that few people think of when they think green includes cucumbers, avocado, green onions, and green pepper; all versatile and usable in many recipes.

4. The green legumes (pulses) are green beans, green peas, snow peas, and sugar snap peas.

5. Tasty green fruits for your smoothies include green apples, green grapes, green pears, honeydew, kiwifruit, and limes. Yum!

But as beneficial as it is to load up on greens, that alone is not enough to completely heal your type 2 diabetes. To do that you must follow a solid strategy.

Here is the exact 3-step strategy thousands of readers have successfully used to completely reverse their type 2 diabetes…
