Many people who suffer from high blood pressure have been told by their doctors that they must change their lifestyle if they want to beat back the effects.

More than 67 million Americans have high blood pressure. However, the go-to treatment in Western medicine has always been to reject the simple and natural approach of the Eastern world and opt for dangerous prescriptions.

This is despite the overwhelming abundance of evidence showing natural interventions’ ability to eliminate hypertension.

One such treatment has been around for millennia and is more powerful than drugs. And now we have the study to prove it.

[adrotate group=”5″]Researchers in Pennsylvania recently conducted yet another study proving that yoga, even light practices of it, is extremely effective at lowering blood pressure.

In the study, middle age men and women were assigned groups- one that did yoga, one that just did a special diet, and one that did both. What they found was that those in the yoga only group dropped their systolic blood pressure at least 3 points more on average than those who ate the special diet.

Those who did both saw the biggest drops. The results showed that while diet is important, it is only a small piece of the high blood pressure cure puzzle.

Yoga is revered as a stress-busting and body-toning exercise. The best part about it is that people of all fitness and mobility levels can participate in at least some fashion, from very light movements to extreme feats of flexibility.

In the study, though, participants were shown to be able to reduce their high blood pressure by at least as much, and in some cases more, than the most popular blood pressure drugs – without side effects.

Our simple blood pressure exercises are based somewhat on the same philosophy of yoga. However, they require no body-exercises, so it doesn’t matter what kind of physical shape you’re in. Since all you have to do is follow simple directions on audio, there is nothing to learn or practice as yoga requires.

But our blood pressure exercises are even more powerful than yoga. Most people get their blood pressure completely under control in a week, sometimes even the very first day.
