This Oil Cures Nail FungusNail fungus is responsible for more than half of all medical nail complaints, but topical prescription antifungal ointments usually don’t work well (to say the least).

So, researchers from Italy’s University of Bologna tested a variety of essential oils on yeasts and molds in the laboratory, eventually settling on the most effective combination they could find to test on people’s infected nails.

And their results on humans, published in a study in a recent edition of the journal Skin Appendage Disorders, are breathtaking: 83% of their participants were completely cured and another 11% saw huge improvement. And nobody experienced any side effects.

Their combination consisted of vitamin E, and lime, oregano, and tea tree oils. The researchers were not specific about which vitamin E they used, but a good vitamin E oil can serve as a good base oil to prevent the other oils from being too strong and causing allergic reactions.

They enrolled 20 volunteers with an average age of 45 years and with mild to moderate nail fungus. They were all diagnosed via clinical examinations with microscopes and by taking cultural samples of the fungi.

The volunteers applied the oil to their nails and surrounding tissues for six months. They were observed for another six months, during which they received no treatment to see whether the fungi would return.

To assess improvements, the researchers examined their subjects’ nails and gave them questionnaires to complete to determine whether the oil was tolerable, easy to apply, and pleasant.

Only 14 of the 20 participants finished the study. Four of the ones who dropped out early did so because they achieved a complete cure before the six-month treatment period ended, and the other two did so for personal reasons.

1. By the end of three months, 17 volunteers were examined: three were completely cured, 13 showed a big improvement, and one was unchanged.
2. After six months, 14 volunteers were examined: seven were completely cured, six showed a big improvement, and one was unchanged.
3. After 12 months, of which the last six months were without treatment, 14 volunteers were examined: 11 were completely cured, two showed a big improvement, and one was unchanged.

Therefore, overall, 15 volunteers were completely cured (including the three that dropped out because they were cured), two showed big improvements, and one was unchanged.

All of the volunteers stated that they were happy with the oil and none of them reported side effects.

All of these oils are commercially available and, although the three essential oils are far from cheap, the cheaper vitamin E oil should probably constitute at least 70% of the blend.

The only problem is that nail fungus is usually a sign of fungal overgrowth inside your body. So, if you want to rid yourself of nail fungus for good, as well as your body’s overall fungal overgrowth, you should apply the simple lifestyle changes explained here…
