We used to treat difficult healing leg wounds with sugar in our hospitals in UK 30 years ago. Sometimes we used to add antibiotic too if the infection was difficult to combat.

On open wounds, YES, sugar is good, but I would not use it internally. It is refined and void of vitamins and minerals, and when you consider the weight of evidence, white sugar is the cause of a lot of our ailments.

what an old idea using sugar instead of honey to heal cuts or wounds.guess costs less than ole good honey [btw article does not state that he used refined white sugar, most europaen eat brown sugar only]. it would have been great if the man had used ants to heal, an ole African way to seal cuts if honey or nectar is unavailable.
yes sugar is good, not high fructose which leads to cancer, diabetes, high bp, etc.

Why for years they were putting velvet soap on gauze then putting the sugar on it. Velvet soap as it was pure soap, used to give the sugar something to stick to. As a child it was used on a badly grazed knew that was not healing. The sugar helped draw the gunky stuff out and it healed quickly
lactose seams better than sugar ,, i believe it is the carbon content in the sugar and honey ,, sugar has 6 parts carbon and so the sugar in honey is just sugar but lactose in cows milk has 12 parts carbon same hydrogen and same oxygen .. i was recently working at a dairy factory in nz and i cut my hand while working with an auger for moving lactose,,, with lactose all over my hands the pain was gone i about thirty seconds the bleeding stopped and it healed up in a couple of days .. normaly it takes a long time to heal as i am a diabetic i now have lactose in my first aid kit the answer to healing most things is simple but no monie in a healthy world BURN THE DOCTORS BRING BACK THE WITCHES

Yes, sugar has been used for many years to clear up difficult infections. It can be used in Diabetic wounds which do not heal well. Our doctors are not going to use it though; they rather let a person get a staph infection and cut the leg off or let the person die than do something that simple and which cures so well and so quickly. It would be pretty cheap to cure something with sugar. Could they charge a lot for that treatment? If so, one of them might resort to using sugar to benefit some poor hurting soul. I have been a nurse for many years ago and when I worked at an orthopaedic hospital in edinbugh , we put a cup of sugar into a huge whole in a patients buttocks who had a bed sore and she was obese. We continued with the treatment regularly. The doc told us that the bacteria ate the sugar and died leaving the body tissues to heal. Using sugar for healing is nothing new. My grandmother used it . The only reason it is not used so much today is because the big drug companies can’t make any money from it. when my wife had a pressure sore the doctor was trying to heal it with Hydrogen Peroxide and the pressure sore would not heal. it turns out that nothing can survive in a high sugar environment. no bacteria or virus. well we knew that that is the purpose when you prepare jam from fresh fruit or vegetables, after soaked in high levels of sugar they last forever.allways works.
Can you use sugar to heal infections on dogs?
Yes, It is true that nature has created cure in different things around us. It is also true that there is cure for everything except death. So sugar for healing wounds, pumpkin for fighting obesity, pomegranate for increasing Hb etc. It is of course the hegemony of pharmaceutical companies which have made us to bank on broadspectrum antibiotics and numerous pills instead of using indigenous natural cures.
