Men with erectile dysfunction – a condition that affects more than 30 million men in the US alone—should follow the same lifestyle recommendations given to those with heart disease, a new “Urologic Clinics of North America” study found.
In this study of 740 men, it was discovered that adopting a list of healthy lifestyle recommendations – exercising daily, eating healthy and losing excess pounds – was effective at reducing or curing ED in most men. They also found that simply exercising just 10 minutes per day was enough to put a serious dent in ED. Lead author of Stephen Kopecky of the Mayo Clinic notes that ED should be viewed as an early market of heart disease.
