A special breed of honey from Malaysia may hold the secret to reducing one of the most common –and frustrating—symptoms of menopause: memory loss. This study of 100 post-menopausal women conducted by Universiti Sains Malaysia scientists discovered that taking just 20 grams of this unique form of honey protected their brains against memory loss associated with menopause.

The scientists note that compounds in the honey –which is derived from the Malaysian tualang tree—helps improve concentration and memory recall in just a few minutes after taking the supplement. However, the long-term benefits of honey on memory loss during menopause is not yet determined.
