Many men who experience ED, choose to avoid talking about their problem and seek fast, one-time solution (such as the blue pill).

According to experts, ED, however, should not be ignored or disregarded as it could be an indication of a much more serious health condition.

Time and again, urologists witness that erectile difficulties are indication of an early sign of cardiovascular disease.

You see, erectile dysfunction is often caused by a lack of blood flow through the arteries running into the penis.

If these arteries have begun to clog up, it’s very likely that other arteries, such as the ones in the heart and brain have began to narrow down as well.

It’s therefore very important to not look at erectile dysfunction as an isolated disease but as a possible symptom of other serious health risks such as heart attack and stroke.

So if you have experienced erection difficulties more than a few times, talk to your health provider to make sure there is no other dangerous health condition causing it.

Nowadays, there are quite a few treatment options to help men with erectile difficulties. Doctors usually suggests a treatment that fits the lifestyle of each individual. The common treatments include:

Oral medications. Including sildenafil citrate (Viagra®), vardenafil HCl (Levitra®) and tadalafil (Cialis®). (Remember, that these are one-time solution pills, which do not treat ED nor the problem causing it)

Injections to a penis or suppositories. (Inconvenient and invasive type of treatment)

Hormonal replacement therapy. (Appropriate only when the issue is low testosterone.)

Vacuum pumps. (The pumps should only be recommended by a doctor, because some are dangerous to use.)

Penile implants. (A very invasive and expensive procedure requiring surgery)

The good news is that there is a much easier and safer treatment for erectile dysfunction.

ED is a condition often associated with shame and embarrassment.
