With obesity and other metabolic conditions on a meteoric rise, drug companies have rushed in to the health catastrophe like so many vultures on a highway carcass.

However, their bold claims to “control” or “cure” frequently not only fall flat, but also place consumers in peril due to the inherent risk of side effects that come with every drug on the market today.

One more example of “all show and no go” was recently exposed in an enormous study of over 11,000 participants who took a popular diabetes drug and experienced no benefit at all.

[adrotate group=”5″]If you’re taking or being pushed by your doctor to take type-2-diabetes drugs, today’s article (found here) is an absolute read…

The diabetes drug Saxagliptin was the focus of a study recently unveiled at an annual meeting of the European Society of Cardiology in Amsterdam.

The study looked at the efficacy of the drug in eliminating hypertension and risk of stroke and heart attack for people who have type 2 diabetes.

Diabetics are at phenomenally higher risk than non-diabetics of developing hypertension. In fact, high blood pressure is often one of the first symptoms to develop for people who are pre-diabetic. Managing blood pressure is a key objective for diabetics and their doctors due to the heightened risk of heart failure and stroke.

However, many drugs that are marketed to these patients frequently fall short of their claims to be a “magic bullet” that can bring all health problems caused by diabetes under control.

Saxagliptin is yet one more drug to join an ever-growing list of drugs that are being shown for what they really are: money-makers for drug companies with zero health benefits.

In the study, the drug was shown to have literally ZERO impact on cardiovascular health as compared to placebo.

Even more unsettling, though, is the OTHER list this drug is on. It recently has come under FDA investigation, like so many others, for its role in potentially contributing to pancreatic diseases like cancer.

Treating and reversing diabetes can be safe, natural, and 100% effective.
