However, a \u2018softer\u2019 addiction is wreaking havoc on health and it isn\u2019t just leading to obesity and diabetes.<\/p>\n<p>A study out of the Harvard School of Public Health has shown that sugary beverage consumption- specifically, soda- is an independent health risk for heart disease.
