{"id":30030,"date":"2025-02-06T13:30:12","date_gmt":"2025-02-06T18:30:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blueheronhealthnews.com\/site\/?p=30030"},"modified":"2025-01-27T04:42:55","modified_gmt":"2025-01-27T09:42:55","slug":"100-ed-cause-discovered","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blueheronhealthnews.com\/site\/2025\/02\/06\/100-ed-cause-discovered\/","title":{"rendered":"100% ED cause discovered"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blueheronhealthnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Erectile-Dysfunction-288825091.jpg\" alt=\"100% ED cause discovered\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-9399\" \/>ED is a very complex condition because so many different underlying things can cause it.<\/p>\n<p>A new <em>Journal of Medical Arts<\/em> study nails an extremely strong but little-known factor.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a specific underlying condition, you\u2019re almost guaranteed to suffer ED.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, there\u2019s an easy way to reverse the ED even if you can\u2019t cure the underlying cause.<\/p>\n<p>To understand this link, researchers studied 300 men aged 18 to 50, all newly diagnosed with mental health conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Importantly, none of the men were on psychiatric medications, as these can sometimes affect sexual function.<\/p>\n<p>Using the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) and DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, the study evaluated men with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and schizophrenia.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what they found:<\/p>\n<dl>\n<dd>\n&#8226;\t<strong>Overall Impact:<\/strong> 54% of participants had some level of ED.<\/p>\n<p>&#8226;\t<strong>Severity Breakdown:<\/strong> 36% had mild ED, 16% mild-to-moderate, 2% moderate, and 0% severe.<\/p>\n<p>&#8226;\t<strong>Schizophrenia:<\/strong> Every participant (100%) with schizophrenia experienced ED\u201460% mild and 40% mild-to-moderate.<\/p>\n<p>&#8226;\t<strong>OCD:<\/strong> 72.7% of OCD patients had ED, with 63.6% experiencing mild and 9.1% mild-to-moderate cases.<\/p>\n<p>&#8226;\t<strong>Depression:<\/strong> 47% of depressed men had ED, with 29.4% mild, 11.8% mild-to-moderate, and 5.9% moderate cases.<\/p>\n<p>&#8226;\t<strong>Anxiety:<\/strong> 35.2% of men with anxiety reported ED\u2014split evenly between mild and mild-to-moderate cases.\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p>Why Does Mental Health Affect ED?<\/p>\n<p>Mental health disorders disrupt the delicate processes involved in achieving and maintaining an erection.
