Kimchi\u2019s probiotic-rich composition made it an ideal candidate for the study.<\/p>\n<p>The study involved 90 adults aged 20 to 65, all slightly overweight (BMI: 23\u201330 kg\/m\u00b2).<\/p>\n<p>Participants were divided into three groups:<\/p>\n<dl>\n<dd>\n1.\tA placebo group with no kimchi.<br \/>\n2.\tA group receiving spontaneously fermented kimchi powder.<br \/>\n3.\tA group receiving kimchi powder fermented with starter bacteria.\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p>For 12 weeks, participants consumed their assigned capsules daily.
