In this report, a team of researchers investigated the so-called \u201cWhite Coat\u201d effect \u2013the influence of a doctor\u2019s presence on test results &#8211;on blood pressure readings.<\/p>\n<p>They found that many one-off blood pressure readings were wildly inaccurate \u2013meaning that many healthy people are currently receiving high blood pressure treatment they don\u2019t need.
