With one cancer the increase is 180%, with another 100%.<\/p>\n<p>58 previous studies were used to calculate the increased likelihood that people with psoriasis will also develop some form of cancer. <\/p>\n<p>They discovered that people with psoriasis were 18 to 22 percent more likely to develop cancer. <\/p>\n<p>They also found an increased risk for a range of site-specific cancers:<\/p>\n<p>1.\t18 percent higher for colon cancer,<br \/>\n2.\t34 percent higher for colorectal cancer,<br \/>\n3.\t58 percent higher for kidney cancer,<br \/>\n4.\t79 percent higher for laryngeal cancer,<br \/>\n5.\t83 percent higher for liver cancer,<br \/>\n6.\t40 percent higher for lymphoma,<br \/>\n7.\t28 percent higher for non-Hodgkin lymphoma,<br \/>\n8.\t71 percent higher for keratinocyte cancers,<br \/>\n9.\t100 percent higher for esophageal cancer,<br \/>\n10.\t180 percent higher for oral cavity cancers, and<br \/>\n11.\t41 percent higher for pancreatic cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Severe cases of psoriasis increased the sufferer\u2019s risks of getting liver, esophageal, and pancreatic cancers; it also significantly reduced their chances of being able to survive the cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Why is psoriasis such a cancer risk?<\/p>\n<p>One explanation is inflammation can lead to cancer. Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin condition. Previous studies also show that other inflammatory conditions, like Crohn\u2019s disease, also increase the risk of developing cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Another possibility is that some of the treatments used to fight against psoriasis, such as biological treatments and phototherapy, are carcinogenic.<\/p>\n<p>Common drugs for psoriasis also suppress the immune systems, which could put people at greater risk. <\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/paralyzepsoriasis.com\/psoriasis\/my-psoriasis-story-bhhn\/?_ga=2.121076992.963851283.1578287771-1091681526.1554726759\">To cure your psoriasis starting today, without drugs, you need to tackle its underlying cause, which I will explain here\u2026<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Psoriasis is no fun.
