{"id":17364,"date":"2018-01-03T13:30:58","date_gmt":"2018-01-03T18:30:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blueheronhealthnews.com\/site\/?p=17364"},"modified":"2017-12-30T00:57:03","modified_gmt":"2017-12-30T05:57:03","slug":"type-2-diabetes-not-what-you-eat-but","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blueheronhealthnews.com\/site\/2018\/01\/03\/type-2-diabetes-not-what-you-eat-but\/","title":{"rendered":"Type 2 Diabetes \u2013 Not What You Eat But\u2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blueheronhealthnews.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Eating_147846377_m-2015.jpg\" alt=\"Type 2 Diabetes \u2013 Not What You Eat But\u2026\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-9399\" \/>If you have type 2 Diabetes or pre-diabetes, you\u2019re probably bombarded with advice on what to eat and what not to eat.<\/p>\n<p>But a new study presented at the American Heart Association\u2019s Scientific Sessions 2017 reveals that what you eat matters less than how you eat. <\/p>\n<p>In fact, eating the right way can prevent \u2013 even cure \u2013 diabetes and remove the worst type of body fat\u2014the type around your waist.<\/p>\n<p>Metabolic syndrome involves chronically high blood sugar, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or fats in your blood and excess fat stored around your waist.<\/p>\n<p>If you have this condition and you don&#8217;t adopt aggressive lifestyle changes, you will almost certainly develop heart disease and type 2 diabetes.<\/p>\n<p>Japanese scientists assessed 642 men and 441 women who did not have metabolic syndrome at the beginning of the study in 2008. They had an average age of 51.2.<\/p>\n<p>They split them into three groups:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\tFast eaters<br \/>\n&#8211;\tNormal eaters<br \/>\n&#8211;\tSlow eaters<\/p>\n<p>\u2026and examined them five years later to see which of them were the healthiest.<\/p>\n<p>They discovered that the faster the participants ate, the more weight they gained around their waists and the higher their blood glucose became.<\/p>\n<p>1.\t11.6% of fast eaters developed metabolic syndrome.<br \/>\n2.\t6.5% of normal eaters developed metabolic syndrome.<br \/>\n3.\tOnly 2.3% of slow eaters developed metabolic syndrome.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blueheronhealthnews.com\/health\/?page_id=747\">If slowing down your eating is not enough to cure your type 2 diabetes, follow the 3-steps here to rid yourself of the disease in 28 days\u2026<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you have type 2 Diabetes or pre-diabetes, you\u2019re probably bombarded with advice on what to eat and what not to eat.
