Vertigo Caused By This HormonesVertigo is one of the most common complaints doctors receive and its occurrence increases with age.

A new study in the Journal of International Medical Research explains that a lack of specific hormones is to blame for this increase.

The good news is that it’s easy to boost these hormones naturally with small diet changes, and therefore rid yourself of vertigo.

The researchers recruited 242 postmenopausal women from the First Hospital of Changsha who had been diagnosed with vestibular migraine. Being postmenopausal meant the absence of menstruation for at least a year. Those who had taken hormone treatment or were suffering from other causes of vertigo were excluded from the study.

The researchers also recruited 200 postmenopausal women who did not suffer from these migraines, and, like the first group, they followed them for a year after they were first recruited.

They collected blood samples from all their subjects and tested them for estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, and prolactin.

In addition, they recorded the number of migraines from which the women suffered per month together with their duration and intensity.

They found that the women with vestibular migraines had lower levels of estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone, and higher levels of prolactin, than the women without migraines and vertigo.

Moreover, women with higher estradiol experienced fewer attacks, which were of shorter duration and lower intensity, than those with low estradiol.

Follicle-stimulating hormones and luteinizing hormones were not related to vestibular migraine and its accompanying dizziness at all.

This finding remained true even when they adjusted for demographic and other health information.

This seems to suggest that you should try to increase your levels of estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone.

You will be happy to know that there are natural ways to do this.

Estradiol is abundant in soybeans, tofu, tempeh, edamame, flax seeds, sesame seeds, dried dates, dried prunes, dried apricots, strawberries, cranberries, raspberries, peaches, cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, wheat bran, and possibly garlic.

You can also take a vitamin B-complex supplement together with vitamin D, both of which can increase the estradiol level in your body.

Most of the food on our list, together with nuts, pumpkin, and spinach, can help your body to produce more progesterone, but most related studies were performed on animals. There are some human-based studies that back B-vitamins and zinc for increasing progesterone.

Another thing to remember is that stress hormones interfere with the production of sex hormones.

As a result, you should also try to do as many things as possible that relax you, so meditate, read novels, walk in a forest or on the beach, and play with a pet.
