This High Blood Pressure Killer Found InnocentThis mineral has for decades been hammered as the worst blood pressure demon on the planet.

But new research from Boston University School of Medicine reveals it may actually be an angel in disguise when it comes to lowering blood pressure.

And its sister chemical is an even more important factor to lower blood pressure naturally.

The Boston researchers collected data from 2,632 men and women participants in the Framingham Offspring Study.

Everyone had a healthy blood pressure in the beginning.

16 years later, data revealed that those who consumed less than 2.5 g of sodium per day had higher blood pressure than those who consumed more.

In addition, they found that potassium was as important as sodium in regulating blood pressure.

Those who consumed the highest amounts of both sodium and potassium had the lowest blood pressure, while those who consumed the least of both had the highest readings.

From this, the researchers concluded that there was no evidence for the claims of health institutions that sodium intake needed to be lowered to or below 2.5 g per day.

They did warn, however, that some people may be more sensitive to sodium than others, and that such sensitive people may need to lower consumption.

Previous studies have also revealed that extremely high consumption of sodium can raise blood pressure.

So if cutting out sodium is not going to lower your blood pressure, what will?
