4 Surprising Signs You're About to Suffer Heart AttackMost of the time heart attack doesn’t come without a warning. There are clear signs you must know about, that tell you you’re about to suffer a heart attack.

Being quick enough to act on these signs may make the difference between life and death.

1) Chest pain – is the most common, most recognized sign of heart attack. It could be a squeezing feeling or pressure like something heavy was put on your chest. Try to take a deep breath; if you have trouble doing so, call the ambulance.

2) Radiating pain in the upper part of the body is another common sign of heart attack, especially for women. The pain can travel to either or both arms, up to the shoulders and neck. You may even experience jaw and teeth pain.

3) Nausea is another thing women are more likely to experience than men during a heart attack. You may feel like vomiting or just mild fatigue symptoms.

4) Heartburn and another discomfort in the stomach are also an indicator you’re about to have a heart attack. Many people write these symptoms off as normal acid reflux; but pay attention, and be on the safe side rather than wait too long to make the emergency call.

Most of us are hesitant to call an ambulance if we’re in any doubt regarding these and other symptoms. After all, they could all just be normal discomforts that pass by. But doing nothing can have serious consequences, and nobody will blame you for calling wolf.

If you don’t want to call an ambulance, at least contact a loved one right away and let them know what’s going on. And let them take you to the hospital for a check up.

The best thing to do, however, is to take on the real cause of heart attack. And the #1 cause of heart attack is, of course, high blood pressure.
