vampire_cure_high_blood_pressureIn a never-ending quest by scientists to find a magic bullet to treat or cure high blood pressure and other heart disease, researchers often will look at the most unlikely places.

We most often connect vampires such as Dracula and other tales to death and destruction. But scientists from the University of Queensland in Australia believe that modern day vampires may hold the key to cure high blood pressure.

Research from the University of Queensland in Australia that was recently published in the Journal of Proteomics that shows the venom secreted by vampire bats may hold the secret to lowering blood pressure and dissolving clots in the blood.

The research is important, say scientists, because it shows how the bats have overcome prey’s natural ability to develop antibodies against venom when it is repeatedly fed upon.

[adrotate group=”5″]Usually, when a foreign invader such as mild venom or other protein enters the body, the immune system kicks in and destroys the invader. Blood clots at the site of the wound and inflammation from white blood cell activity clean up the intruder.

In the case of vampire bats, their venom has evolved to sneak past the prey’s immune system in order to prevent blood from clotting as well as dilating blood vessels near the skin to keep blood flowing. Even when a bat visits the same prey night after night, the prey’s defenses do not respond to the venom.

It is this ability of the venom to act as a clot-buster and vasodilator that has scientists excited, since the quest to find ‘natural’ treatments for high blood pressure are ongoing.

However, what usually happens with discoveries in the animal kingdom that are sought for the human world is that scientists try to recreate the molecules, chemicals and other components from animals in a lab and turn them into pills or elixirs.

Wouldn’t it be a lot easier to truly drop high blood pressure naturally, without trying to steal from Mother Nature? These 3 easy exercises are proven to lower blood pressure below 120/80 without drugs, even in the very first day…
