There is a lot that comes from Brazil that serves to boost excitement and sensuality in humans, but the latest discovery of a Brazilian treasure is by far the most interesting.
Nature has provided a way to overcome Erectile Dysfunction, or ED, in an unlikely way.
For many men who have age-related ED, the problem getting and sustaining an erection relates to the body’s ability to release nitric oxide, which allows the blood vessels in the penis to dilate and infuse the tissues with blood.
Side effect-causing drugs on the market work by inhibiting an enzyme that blocks the release of nitric oxide.
But the Brazilian Wandering Spider has a toxin that leaves men actually needing emergency medical help for painful, unrelenting erections. The toxin in the venom triggers a nitric oxide release to extremes.
Scientists have been working to harness the power of the venom to see if there is a safe way to use it on humans. Not only has it shown promise in aging rats, but it has also shown positive results in those with hypertension and also diabetes.
This is encouraging for those who have been taking anti-hypertensive drugs and are worried about the dangerous interaction of ED drugs and their blood pressure medications.
However, human trials are still not anticipated anytime soon as a safe way of testing on humans is still being developed, as well as determining what, if any, other side effects of being exposed to the toxin would be suffered.
A drug-free way to cure erectile dysfunction using simple exercises…
I wish you wouldn’t waste my time which such articles when it would not be avaiable for at least 5-10 years.
if they find a safe way to use the venom I fully beleive there will be a lot of people waiting in line to use the new medication and the drug company will never run short of people wanting to use it.
mother nature never failed in curing our ailment
The new Godfathers of multinational pherma trying to block human efforts to harness such cures
why do u need a spider to bite you all u need is a sexy hot girl to bite you lol.
Hehehe, come baby come.
I would be interested in this, for Diabetes, and High Blood Pressure; however, I would like more information on this as a treatment; plus, I would be interested in knowing just how much venom is being considered, for human treatment. The research must have some amount they use for mice, and research in the past, using animal venom with humans, should give them some idea of the probable range of amount of venom for a human, just as a close educational guess.
Where could I get the information? Ever curious me. I remember when they were first beginning studies on saliva from the Gila Monster, and it is now being give as a treatment for Diabetes, under it’s new medical name. I was originally interested due to my interest in the animals, such as the biting, stinging animals and varmints and creepy crawlies which are already found to have some use in the medical world; such as the stings of honey bees has been useful to cure people of severe long term Arthritis; which I believe was discovered “after” accidental mutiple stings of a large amount of humans. I have severe arthritis too; but am somewhat squeamish about considering 100 bee stings, or more, to cure it. It is a thought to take into consideration, as my bone pains are now crippling to me.
Great Article, Great Idea, Blue Heron Health News, and, Chirstian, Jodi, Scott, Shelly, and Julissa (& I think I have read from other staff there also, with great articles and research news!) georgia
I don’t believe I have ever heard of a bear attack treating anything in man, except teaching to take care in wild for any type of attacks. It might be the quickest ever cure for bravado, without protection!
Surfers go right back into the oceans, after having shark bites and attacks. Maybe I don’t know what I am talking about. I got pitched from an amount of horses, and kept getting back on. (I had not been careful just which horses I allowed someone to give me to ride). again, georgia
Do you smile, a big smile, Christian, as you finish an article & sign your name?
just me, georgia 😉
