Those that feel they need to run a marathon to lower their blood pressure can relax with some good news from researchers at Louisiana University.
In a new study, the scientists discovered that moderate, low-impact exercise like walking and riding on a stationary bike is enough to reduce high blood pressure.
The total amount of exercise that the group did amounted to less than 2.5 hours per week and lowered systolic blood pressure by 11 points, only slightly less than a group that worked out for nearly 5 hours per week.

Interesting article – people usualy take no action – fearing that – what is required is extensive & un-doable – nice – to see an article & study that demonstrate what can be achieved without much effort …

I agree exercise is important for overall health in any endeavor, I’m able in my region to help people to lower their blood pressure within an hour or 2..I even place ads in Kijiji about this…I do quantum energy with an acupuncture technique, without needles nor electronic unit…
I’ve used the three blood-pressure lowering exercises for three weeks now. What a wonderful source of relaxation and stress-relief! Certainly emotional stress is my key issue, and your program addresses it perfectly. I will soon check in with my doctor, but I’ll be sure to do all three exercises first on my appointment day!
I now go walking every day; first with the guided relaxation walk, and then just for the fun of it because I feel so good!
Thanks, Christian
P.S. Your Icelandic accent is perfectly charming. I’m one-quarter Icelandic myself, my grandfather having been born in Iceland.
