Crow’s feet — wrinkles that commonly develop on the face of women facing menopause — may be prevented and treated with a new soy supplement out of Japan.

The supplement, known as SE-5O is a form of fermented soy. The authors of the study note that skin cells’ health is reliant on a steady influx of estrogen –a hormone that’s a rare commodity in menopausal and post-menopausal women.

That’s why women that took the supplement noticed a significant reduction in the amount of crow’s feet wrinkles when compared to those that took a placebo.

The supplement stimulates estrogen receptors on the skin, promoting new cell growth.
