These ingredients are only released when the garlic is crushed or chopped into very small pieces. The smaller pieces, the more of those healing ingredients are released.
So if you eat it whole or cut into big chops, you will get little to no health benefits.
Microwaving garlic totally destroys Allicin and Diallyl Sulphides. And cooking it minimizes their effectiveness.
